Faith Statement of Pastor Care Network
The group of therapists listed in the Pastor Care Network subscribe to the following faith statement:
- We believe that God is maker of heaven and earth with a heart of fatherly care for all His children.
- We believe Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord and the Author of the deepest healing.
- We believe in the Holy Spirit, Comforter and Counselor.
- We believe the writings commonly known as the Old and New Testaments are the authoritative source of our knowledge of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe these writings describe what it means to be human, how we fail, and how we recover.
- We believe that Jesus Christ is “full of grace and truth.”
- We believe His grace and truth can be experienced through a “new birth of water and the Spirit.”
- We believe His grace and truth can be discovered in a relationship commonly known as “counseling,” “therapy,” “consultation,” or “guidance.”
- We believe the Holy Spirit calls us to life together in the church.
- We believe that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are lovingly reaching out to heal and strengthen individuals, marriages, and families.
- We believe that Jesus Christ is “the resurrection and the life,” both now and forever.
